Lyck are a fresh new energy coming out of Worcestershire, UK.Their sound is a wonderful menagerie of classic rock, with an undertone of the Seattle sound. Their lyrics have been carefully crafted with songs such as Alone and Try. Yet False Promises and I Want You show signs of a funky edge. Fronted by two female vocalists, Lyck have a unique ingredient and raw talent. Zennor is fronting Lyck. She is a Cornish lass and is an original, gifted performer and songwriter. Zennor was born into an entertaining family. Her Father heavily inspired her and after his death Zennor revived her performance skills and studied Music and Dance. For the past five years Zennor has been performing as a solo entertainer, whilst writing and producing her own songs. Her influences are extremely wide from Joni Mitchell and John Lennon, to Matchbox Twenty and The Foo Fighters. Supporting vocals is Colette. Originally from Bristol, she has now settled in Worcester after an already busy career in show business. Colette has performed to over three million people in twenty-seven countries, touring with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance as main vocals in the show. Now Colette is passing on her skills as a singing teacher to students across Worcestershire. She has a variety of musical roots from Classical to Pop/Rock and a big love for show songs. Favourites include Jane Monheit, Kylie and The Sterophonics. On strings we have two fellas who have been friends since junior school, Justin on lead guitar and Simon on bass. They started their first band together when they were sixteen, called Incision, playing classic rock covers from artist like Metallica, Queen and Ugly Kid Joe. When playing together they are a fusion of strength. Mixing heavy rock and solid soul. Justin has already had a taste of being in rock music history with a band called Downward Thing in the late nineties. They were signed to an independent company, touring up and down the country that attracted a huge following. Justin is definitely a metal man; roots are with Soundgarden, Quicksand and Incubus. Simon is our funk man but keeps in mind his metal roots, favourite artists being Cliff Burton and Mark King from Level 42. After leaving school Simon went straight into a Performing Arts College and studied music. He played non-stop for three years, during which time he formed a soul group called Soul Train UK and toured the countrys universities and holiday camps for several years. He then became a session musician. The backbone to Lyck is Kaz on drums. Born and bred in Birmingham. He spent his early years in local bands Trident and Scarab, gigging jamming and doing session work, learning his art and being a musical tart. Currently residing in Kidderminster he has played in Wyche, Pelta and HRT. Kazs influences are mainly Judas Priest, Lacuna Coil and Van Halen. Together they contribute to all genres of rock with justice to all.
