Chipmunk, the hottest new name on the grime scene, is set to release his first ever single "Beast" on December 1st through Alwayz Recordings. Chipmunk became the youngest artist to win a MOBO award earlier this month when he walked away with the Best Newcomer award. "It's an honour to win a MOBO", says Chipmunk. "It's good to be rewarded for everything I am putting into my community." Even more impressively, Chipmunk won the award before even releasing his first official single. His MySpace page has had over two million views and his freestyle on Westwood's radio show has had over 1.1 million hits on YouTube. "Beast" will feature on Chipmunk's forthcoming album, "I Am Chipmunk" expected in early 2009.
