BLOC PARTY release the single “The Prayer” on January 29th on Wichita Recordings. This is the first single from the bands second album “A Weekend In The City” which is released one week later on February 5th. The single and album have both been produced by Jacknife Lee and were recorded in Ireland. BLOC PARTY are Kele Okereke – vocals/guitar; Russell Lissack – guitar; Gordon Moakes – bass/vocals; and Matt Tong – drums. Exclusive remixes of “The Prayer” will include a freaked-out club banger from hotly tipped Parisian DJ Para One; a perfect drum and bass production from the U.K.’s Break & Silent Witness (DNAudio, Quarantine Records); and a dirty roller from new U.K. duo Does It Offend You, Yeah (Virgin).
